Wow! When reading Baym and Herring I was amazed and taken back into time. It's get weary when I think about the harm new technology can cause, when a change is taken place. I am mostly concern about the different channels and set up of the different types of messenger and chatline that are up today. Also, I have great concerns about the different uploads of software and other attachment that can be affected of sudden or unfamiliar change.

I for one hope that the world think carefully, when agreeing or accepting hazardous changes of tranformation for new technology. I'm very concern about the digital technology that is discussed in this reading. I believe that digital technology will delay or corupt valuable material that have been years for years.

I just don't believe in changes in technology that have been effectively in this world. When I think of change, I think of delayed response in areas that we can't afford to experience.

Last, but not least, I believe in allowing a new technology to be first tested behind the scene for a period of 2 years, before the world has to accept it.

Digital effect! Scary, but so real in today's world use.

  1. I hate changes when it is not carefully thought out! I do believe that new changes is all about MONEY! Will we every think about what will this change do, or who will this change affect???

I am very concerns about the thinking ability of mortals today in this thing we call WORLD.

  2. Companies are in too big of a rush to make money before their competitors with new technologies so things are thought out to the Nth degree. Get the end user locked in to the new technology and then figure out the bugs.

  3. yes i agree, companies rush to get their products out before figuring everything out. I remember when the iphone first came out and everyone was complaining about it because it had so many problems and apple came out and said a quick fix was to do something with duct tape (cant remember exactly what they said to do)....seriously? "ok you bought this $300-400 phone and i know theres problems so just fix it with some tape". ridiculous.

  4. I think so many people are in a hurry to use the newest technologies to make their lives easier without realizing that so many of them are making their lives more complicated. Also, there are so many competitors in software that isn't really even about the consumer anymore.

  5. Our world is so in the "now" of things, that nothing goes through a full term of testing anymore. I also think that the internet has become the testing phase for many companies. It's the "Let's see if this gets attention online first" ideas that make its way to the internet and never goes away. Everything will one day progress into a pop up.
